A Big Thank You To Karen & Phil Pateman
On the 02/05/2011 Karen & Phil Pateman embarked on the Deep RiverRock Belfast City Marathon Walk 2011 in an effort to raise money for PSN. Karen & Phil wanted to raise £700 for the Pancreatitis Supporter Network but thanks to all the great people that donated they raise so far £807 which is amazing by its self and because they set up their fundraising through JustGiving.com they will also be entitled to Gift Aid which will push the final total to over £1000. We can not thank Karen & Phil enough for all their hard work which will enable us to help many more people suffering from pancreatitis and a big thanks to everybody that donated.
A Little Word From Karen
My mum Patricia has pancreatitis which stops her from enjoying the most basic meals and has caused her to suffer with terrible pain on a daily basis for the past 5 years. Aside from the physical problems, which are too long to list, mentally pancreatitis is a draining condition, which is really hard to cope with for both the patient and the family.
The Pancreatitis Supporters Network (PSN) is a very small but invaluable charity, which does a lot of great work for people who would otherwise feel even more lost. They could really do with our support. You can read more about their services at the website http://www.pancreatitis.org.uk/
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
All donations will be very gratefully received. Please help us to support those (like my mum) who suffer this terrible illness.
Thanks,
Karen and Phil
